The Pilion Centre - Accommodation

The Pilion Centre

The Centre's main building is a former large family home set in soft woodlands in the Pilion Mountains of Greece where, according to ancient Greek mythology, dwelled the fabulous Centaurs, half-man half-horse.

The building has been extensively renovated to cater for workshop groups.

Accommodation Facilities:

19 beds in six bedrooms, all with shared toilets and showers.

Our 4 meter diameter yurt which is used for meetings and 1-1 treatment sessions in the daytime can be booked for overnight intimacy by participants in shared accomodation.

Six double tents  served by a shower, sinks and toilet block.

One ensuite double room and three ensuite twin rooms in a well appointed guest house about 10 min. walk from the Centre in Anilio village.

Weather conditions

The weather at the centre throughout most of the season is very pleasant, not going much above 25oC (around 78oF in old money)

The typical weather in Pilion in May/June and September features warm to hot days, and coolish nights. There are mercifully few mosquitoes or midges in this region, and one generally sleeps under a light blanket. Rainfall is minimal, so that tent accommodation is very feasible but please be prepared for rain early and late our season (May and late September). This varies tremendously due to the mountains, and when is does rain is usually for short periods.

Below is a weather chart showing average, maximum and minimum temperatures in the Pilion region.

It does feel cooler at the centre due to the altitude and mountain breezes. We are at 400m so the temp feels about 2oc less than at sea level.
There is plenty of shade at the centre, being mostly wooded in the lower grounds.

Please be aware- for air-conditioning, we open the windows!
