What we offer
We offer holistic experiential workshops in a space where we
build community through the
practice of contributing to others. This is all
done in simple manner in a beautiful natural setting producing what we
call 'An Ordinary Paradise', leaving you with something deeper than
a suntan. Click here to see a
typical day at the centre.
The Pilion Centre has accommodation
and informal learning areas situated amongst two acres of orchard
and forest in the unspoilt MOUNT PILION
region of Greece.
Our Programme
We are currently building an exciting programme of Workshops
for the Summer. Typically our courses involve
morning sessions
Saturday to Friday and some evening sessions. This allows plenty of
time for swimming in the
crystal clear Aegean Sea,
laying on one of local quartz rich beaches, walking along the mountain tracks or enjoying a leisurely meal at the
Centre of local Taverna and for making new friends who share the
holistic perspective.
We have an OPENING WORK CAMP running from May to June. This
will get the centre up and running after its winter hibernation. (The
big fat cherries on the trees at the Centre will be at their best in
June!) If you'd like to volunteer, please see our
volunteering page.
Our low key relaxed
“Home From Home”
weeks run alongside the Workshop programme. Visitors sometimes choose
to balance their stay at Pilion Centre with one home from home week
and one workshop
Individual Retreats
can also be arranged
Home Coming
Guests often tell us that they have continued to
benefit from the personal and social contacts they make during their
stay at the Pilion Centre. Our online
forum can be part of this continued process of contact and
discovery.
Legend describes how Chiron
the Healer Centaur taught down-to-earth healing practices on these
very hillsides. The Mount Pilion region, with its lovely beaches and
shady forests can provide an inspirational setting for person
reflection. Writing, sketching, photography, meditation, dance and
music can come easily here.
Terrain & Disabilities
The terrain at the centre is uneven, there are steep slopes in
the centre grounds and the surrounding area is hilly and rocky. For
this reason the centre is unsuitable for anyone who is physically
infirm.
Please note: Unfortunately due to the nature of the
terrain the site of the Pilion Centre is not wheelchair friendly.
If you have any concerns, please ask us
before booking.
